Professional Lawn Care

Landscaping Idea #9
For Front & Back Yards
Problem:
Slope Too Difficult To Mow Or Unsightly Due To Erosion Or Too Much Shade For Grass
Solution:
Turf grass is one of the best groundcovers for coverage and ease of maintenance in our area. However grass can’t always thrive in difficult spots like eroding slopes or heavily shaded areas. Some slopes may be slight enough for grass to effectively grow but unsafe to mow especially in wet weather. For these spots, consider an alternative groundcover.
Living groundcovers for slopes include: English Ivy, Ice Plant, Juniper, Pachysandra, Phlox, Sedum, Speedwell, Vinca.
Non-living groundcovers to consider include: bark mulch, pebbles, gravel or fieldstone.

HOMEOWNERS – We can take care of your lawn so you don’t have to. We can set up a regular schedule during the growing season to mow and trim your yard so you don’t even have to think about it. (In periods of abundant rainfall, we can mow more frequently; and if there’s a drought, we’ll refrain from mowing/trimming until growth resumes.) Read below for the lawn care services we provide.
BUSINESSES – You can bet potential customers will notice if your lawn isn’t well-maintained. If you’d rather project a more polished appearance, we can help. We can mow and trim your outdoor premises to:
- Give your business or organization a more uniform, professional appearance.
- Keep turf healthy (which helps minimize maintenance costs).
- Optimize lawn care services to suit your maintenance budget.
Our lawn care services include professional mowing, aerating, and overseeding for homeowners and businesses. We can also help if you are looking to completely remove sections of turf or an entire lawn. See more info on our Seeding/Sod Installation webpage.
MOWING/TRIMMING – Having trouble keeping up with the mowing/trimming in your yard? Ground Up can set up a schedule to mow/trim your lawn so you don’t have to worry about it, giving you more time for all those other things you’d rather be doing.
AERATING – This method of mechanical cultivation can help relieve soil compaction, improve surface drainage and increase infiltration of nutrients for a healthier, thicker lawn. Ground Up can provide this service for high-traffic areas or to improve the overall appearance of your lawn.
OVERSEEDING - If your lawn is thin overall or just bare in spots, overseeding in the fall can help give your lawn an added boost now and a thicker lawn next spring. In addition to making your lawn more attractive, overseeding helps your lawn:
- Shade out some weeds for a more uniform lawn appearance.
- Resist insects and diseases better to keep your lawn healthier.
- Tolerate drought better to keep it greener longer.
If you’re tired of mowing your lawn, don’t have the time or just want your lawn to look its best, call or click here to contact Ground Up today for your free estimate.
